What's actually ready
We're not going to pretend everything's finished. It's beta - some things work well, some things are still rough, some things aren't built yet.
Here's what you can actually use right now:
- Equipment tracking - inventory management with serial numbers, QR codes, real-time availability
- Projects - create jobs, allocate equipment, manage sub-projects for bigger events
- Clients - contact management, communication history, client portal access
- Quotes and invoices - generate documents, send them, track payments
- Crew scheduling - assign people to projects, track availability
- Mobile access - works on your phone, designed for it
What's still coming: transport module, advanced analytics, more integrations, phase planning for complex jobs.
Why open beta
We built NexusRMS to solve our own problems. But what works for one AV company might not work for another. Film kit rental has different needs than event production. A two-person operation works differently than a 50-person team.
We could guess what features matter most. Or we could let actual rental companies tell us.
That's the point of open beta. Try it. Break it. Tell us what's missing, what's confusing, what would actually make your life easier.
What you get
Direct access to the founders. Not a support ticket system. Not a chatbot. Mike and Jack, the people actually building this. We read every piece of feedback.
Influence on what gets built. If multiple beta users want the same feature, it moves up the list. Simple as that.
Founding member pricing. When we launch paid plans, beta users get looked after. We haven't finalised the details yet, but early adopters won't be forgotten.
Who should sign up
Any rental company that's curious. AV, events, film, staging - whatever you do. Big or small.
The only thing we ask: if you find something broken or confusing, tell us. That's the deal.
If you just want free software with no intention of giving feedback, this probably isn't for you. We're looking for partners, not passengers.
